Böda Station – live and experience history on northern Öland!

Are you looking for a different and memorable place to vacation this summer? Then Böda Station is for you – a charming and historic vacation home right in the heart of Böda on northern Öland. Here you literally live in an old railway station, surrounded by beautiful Öland nature, just a stone’s throw from the famous Böda Sand.

🚂 A nostalgic gem with railway history

Böda Station was built in the early 20th century as the terminus of Öland’s narrow-gauge railway. The trains trudged through the landscape until 1961 – but the atmosphere lives on. Today, the carefully preserved station building is the center of a pleasant and family-friendly vacation resort, where history meets the present.

🏕️ Accommodation with character – from cottages to tent pitches

At Böda Station there are several accommodation options for those who want to holiday close to nature – with a unique historical element:

Cottages: Five spacious cottages for up to six people, as well as a smaller two-bed cottage – all with shower, WC and kitchen.

Apartments: Seven fully equipped self-catering apartments, perfect for families.

Camping & camping pitches: Eleven caravan pitches, three motorhome pitches and up to nine tent pitches. Service house with showers, toilets and laundry facilities is available to all guests.

Here you will find proximity to nature, peace and a relaxed atmosphere – perfect for families with children, couples and solo travellers.

🌿 Experiences in the surrounding area

Northern Öland offers a variety of activities and excursion destinations for the whole family:

Böda Sand – one of Sweden’s longest and most popular sandy beaches.

Cycling and hiking trails – follow old railway tracks through forests and villages.

Trollskogen – a fabulous nature experience north of Byxelkrok.

Lådbilslandet – a children’s favorite with ready-to-drive mini vehicles.

Cycle paths and forest paths around the station make the area ideal for nature lovers and adventurous families with children.
